What was meant to be a peaceful Sunday spent helping my mother at her small jewelry business Joyeria Princesa quickly turned into a nightmare. Over $600,000 worth of jewelry was stolen in a well-coordinated heist, and the suspects are still at large. To make matters worse, my mother’s insurance doesn’t cover theft or burglary due to the store’s zip code.

The incident took place while my mother, who works tirelessly with 80-hour work weeks, stepped away for a bathroom break. In her absence, four masked men entered the grocery store where her jewelry store is located, carrying out a brazen robbery. We suspect that the criminals may have had someone inside the grocery store providing signals about when to strike, given the exact timing of the break-in as my mother left.

Upon investigating, we discovered that this robbery is part of a larger, statewide criminal ring (@fbidallasdivision). A similar heist occurred last month at a jewelry store inside the @elranchosupermercado grocery store in Houston. The last picture in this post is from that robbery and shows a suspect whose face closely matches one of the thieves involved in the heist at my mother’s store.

Witnesses in the area managed to snap a picture of the getaway car, which is included in this video. One of the suspects, who was unmasked in the Houston robbery, was seen wearing a Lady Raiders Texas Tech hoodie at my mother’s jewelry store during the robbery.

We are urging everyone—friends, family, and anyone who sees this post—to share it in hopes of tracking down these criminals. It’s crucial that we put these thieves behind bars for good and prevent further victims from suffering.”
