PANAMA CITY, Fla. – On Saturday, around 4 p.m., the Panama City Police Department received multiple reports of a shooting occurring at the intersection of Hwy 231 and Harrison Avenue.
According to a press release, officers in the vicinity quickly spotted the suspect vehicle, a gray Ram pickup truck, attempting to flee the scene. Authorities pursued the truck heading north on Highway 231, while other officers responded to the shooting location. Tragically, one victim passed away from their injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital, while the other remains in critical condition, officials confirmed.
As officers attempted to apprehend the suspect, the pickup truck collided with a police car on an access road situated between Peppers Mexican Restaurant and the Holiday Inn.
