Indianapolis Man Allegedly Attacks 14-Year-Old Over Motorized Bike Incident

An Indianapolis man 45-year-old Jason Harrell, is facing charges of battery and intimidation after video footage surfaced showing him allegedly pushing and punching a teenager on the city’s west side Saturday afternoon.

IMPD officers responded to a disturbance call on January 25, around 3:20 p.m., in the 700 block of Aberdeen Drive, near Rockville and South High School roads. The police report details the incident that prompted the response.

Court documents state that the 14-year-old boy’s mother informed police that Harrell would often get angry when neighborhood kids rode motorized bikes on the sidewalk or in the street. In the video, Harrell is heard threatening to harm the boy and his family.

Police arrested Harrell and took him to the Marion County jail.

Harrell’s initial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
