Beaumont, Texas – A disturbing incident occurred recently at Little Woodrow’s that left a police officer injured and two women arrested. The event unfolded when one of the women involved fled the scene, leading to the officer falling from the vehicle during the pursuit. As a result of the fall, the officer sustained injuries and was subsequently hospitalized.


The two women involved in the altercation have been identified as Jamaysha Butler, 28, and Melissa Bell, 22. Both have been taken into custody in connection with the incident, and each faces a range of serious charges.
Jamaysha Butler has been charged with multiple offenses, including intoxication, assault, and evading detention. Police have stated that the charges against Butler are particularly serious due to the bodily harm inflicted on the officer during the incident. Because of the nature of the officer’s injuries, the charges against Butler are enhanced to reflect the gravity of the situation.
Melissa Bell, on the other hand, has been charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, interference with public duties, and assault on a peace officer. Authorities also noted that Bell had outstanding warrants at the time of her arrest, further complicating the charges she faces.
